LOCATING VERTICAL ELECTRICAL CHASES:
When installing panels, mark on the floor or panels where verticle chases are located to simplify finding them later when running wiring.

Top 5 FAQs: Question #2

Q: How do you run electrical and other wiring?

A: Panels arrive to the jobsite with precut chases for wiring. They are at normal heights and placements for outlets (16 inches off floor) and switches (45 inches off floor). Vertical chases are located about every four feet.

To install an electrical box, simply cut through the interior OSB skin at the level of the chase. Remove the EPS foam enough for an electrical box to fit. Pull the wires through the chases, using vertical chases whenever possible. Fill unused chases with low expanding foam to preserve high insulating values.

Another option is to run wiring through baseboard raceways and in the cavity behind the beveled spacer or SIP roof-to-wall connections.
