Q: How does building with SIPs affect hanging cabinets, pictures, and other items inside?

A: Building with SIPs shouldn't deter you from hanging items on your walls, including cabinets. Pictures may be hung anywhere without worring about finding a stud since the SIP OSB skin under the drywall offers sturdy attachment. For heavy items, such as cabinets, we usually see contractors put in a few more screws (and fewer shims since the wall is so straight) to make sure the attachment is firm.
