Planning for SIPs
Panel Manufacturing
With the completed approved set of shop drawings for your project, we can complete a final materials take-off and determine the firm price that you will pay for the quantity of materials needed based on the shop drawings. This quantity and final price will be sent to you in the form of a final Contract of Sale. Projects are typically able to ship about three weeks from the time we receive the contract of sale and final payment.
The shop drawings are also further broken down into production tickets where each panel is dimensioned individually and prepared to be entered into Premier Building System's programs. The client does not need to review or handle the production tickets, but this step does account for a few days to a week, depending on the season and job size.
Panels are manufactured in the order they are received by Premier Building Systems. Lead times vary based on the season with the longest being three weeks in the summer and early fall. The panels begin by putting in electrical chases prior to the OSB being pressed (glued) to the foam core. Once the blank panels are produced, they are then either cut by machine or hand based on the shop drawings, which is fabrication. Each panel is numbered and numeric panel layout is included with the package.
They are arranged for shipment in an order to most efficiently use space and arrive at the construction site in one to two business days.
